The Raleigh Youth Council meetings are held the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 7:00-8:00 pm at the Laurel Hills Community Center.  Please call 919-996-2142 for more information or click here.  Learn about the Cary Youth Council here.

The Family Resource Center of Raleigh has a Youth Leadership Council.  The  (YLC) was created in order to support teens and their decision to make healthy lifestyle choices. YLC is comprised of middle and high school students who meet monthly to learn skills that prepare them for leadership. Additionally, students obtain training necessary to become peer health educators, peer mentors, and community volunteers.  To request an application, call: (919) 834-9300.

The Lightner Y Achievers is dedicated to helping Triangle youth develop as leaders through opportunities in education, leadership, philanthropy, community service and civic engagement.  

The Poe Health Teen Advisory Council is an engaged group of young people who are serious about advocating for good health in their community and can inform Poe programming and community policy makers. The Council is comprised of a diverse group of teen health peer educators, advocates and representatives. Youth and adult leaders keep abreast of current health issues and emerging trends in Wake County. Teens, university students and adults share best practices and learn current information about pressing teen health issues from professionals.  Call 919.231.4006 ext. 309 for more information.

The Wake Forest Youth Advisory Board The Wake Forest Youth Advisory Board  meets on the third Saturday of each month at 9 am in the Ground Floor Meeting Room at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. The year for the YAB coincides with the school year – August through May. Membership is open to high school aged youth.  Click the link above for details and an application.
